I choose to speak up. Not for your gratification or for some shallow attempt at your attention. Those notions breed and feed on our popular music scenes and the faked reality in our tv screens. I speak because I have a voice.
Our past is riddled with spilled blood of martyrs, killed for their right to fill the ill-lit streets and shout, “We refuse to swallow this pill!” And still… Where are the thoughts worth digesting?
No more nesting in the fears of social or spiritual questioning!
Nobody wants heavy anymore, nobody wants truth. We want light, we want fake, we want easy, we want proof. Well, fuck easy!
Embrace your failures, dismiss your ego, cherish your loves and find growth in their loss. Question the system and find your OWN answers. Fall off THEIR hook and into a sea of curiosity, for perspective is such a wonderfully dark realization. It’s only when we truly grasp it can we understand all that we have but realize how much needs to be done.
Our voice is our solution and I’m gonna use mine until my tongue swells up. I’ll bleed, share, love and sing if not for what’s right then for my own self worth! Find yours. It’s like Lincoln said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
